Gananoque
The Gananoque event is being held out of Peck’s Marina, located in Ivy Lea at the heart of the 1000 Islands and just 3kms west of the 1000 Islands Bridge to the USA. This is the first year for the event and the immediate waters of the St Lawrence River hold a lot of promise for trophy LM/SM Bass, Pike and Muskie.
Day 1 of the event will be the Bass Only portion of the weekend where Series Points are accumulated toward the Championship. Day 2 will be a multi species fish-off where prizes are awarded for the largest Bass, Muskie and Pike. |
Words from the owner:
We can certainly accommodate your group of 40 people for launching and hauling your kayaks for your tournament and we will not charge you anything for launching or hauling your kayaks either at our ramp or from our creek docks. In the past most people have found it easier to launch kayaks and canoes from the creek area where they can get set up in a grassy area and launch from small finger docks. If any of your group are booking accommodation here at Peck's Marina there will not be a charge for parking. Four of our motel rooms will accommodate a maximum of four people and one room will accommodate two people. For those who are not staying here the parking charge is $7.50 per vehicle per day or $10.00 per vehicle with trailer per day. We will likely be able to accommodate all of the vehicles in our parking lot and if we run out of room there is additional parking on the Thousand Islands Parkway right in front of the
marina at no charge.
The KOA campground is directly across the road from us. If the campers left their vehicles at the KOA after launching the parking would also be included in their campsite. We also have a Waterfront Vacation Suite available here at the marina that is fully furnished and will accommodate up to six people. All of accommodation rates are posted on our website at www.pecksmarina.com. There is a fully licensed restaurant at the marina open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are right in the heart of The Thousand Islands with many Parks Canada camping facilities nearby on the islands. Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will wait to hear back from you to confirm you arrival and departure times.
More info will be posted on this event shortly, so please check back or email
